At the time of booking we will require a £30 non-refundable (in the event of cancellation) deposit per night of stay, this can be paid by credit or debit card. Settlement of account is on departure by cash, credit or debit card, we are sorry but we are unable to accept cheques without prior arrangement, JCB or Diners cards.

We are an adult only accommodation (no under 18's) and cannot accept guest pets in the accommodation or left in cars. Please note however that we do have a cat, dog and poultry at the accommodation.

Room rates are per night and for 2 people sharing including breakfast:

1st January - 31st March ......  Super King room - £106, King room - £92, Double room - £86

1st April - 30th October, Sun- Fri or for stays of 2 or more nights .......   Super King room - £102, King room - £92, Double room - £88

1st April - 30th October, Saturday night for a 1 night stay ........               Super King room - £115, King room - £98, Double room - £94

Making your booking: Please mention at the start of your enquiry that you have a Smartbox/Timeout Voucher. This entitles you to 1 nights accommodation including breakfast in our standard double room for 2 people. At the time of booking we will require the 9 digit unique code & 3 digit reservation/booking code from your voucher or Gift Card which we will reserve on the Smartbox system. You will need to present your voucher or Gift Card at check-in for validation. If for whatever reason the voucher is not valid or you forget your voucher our normal room rate will be charged. If you fail to show for your reservation this will be logged as a "no show" with Smartbox and you will be unable to use your voucher again and forefit the deposit. We are only able to take 1 Smartbox Voucher per booking at the weekend.

Deposit: In all cases we will require a £30 deposit (per night) in order to meet our cancellation policy terms which must be paid by credit or debit card. The deposit will be refunded after check-out if no extras are taken with your room. Our cancellation policy is loss of deposit for cancellations prior to 5 days of your arrival. Within 5 days is loss of deposit and forefit of voucher.

Evening Meals: are available at £28 per person for a set four course dinner (booked at least 48 hours in advance) and we are fully licensed with an extensive wine and drinks list. We are 3.5 miles from the nearest pub and 9 miles from the nearest restaraunt (please see Dinning at Halsteads Barn for further information).

Children & Pets: we are an adult only accommodation (no under 18's) and we do not accept pets in the accommodation or left in cars. However, we do have free range pets and poultry in the accommodation and in the grounds.

Saturday night stays 1st April - 30th September 2012 a £15 supplement will be charged for a Saturday 1 night stay in our double room. No supplement for 2 night stays, extra nights are at our normal room rate. Bank Holidays are a mimimum of a 2 night stay. Room Upgrades 1st April - 30th September 2012: For 1 night stays any day of the week .. King - £35, Super King - £50. For stays of more than one night ... King - £30, Super King - £40, extra nights at our normal room rate (no supplement applies if upgrading your room).

We want you to enjoy your time with us and have time to relax and enjoy the surrounding countryside and hospitality of our house. We serve a set four course dinner for £28 per person booked at least 48 hours in advance for the first night of your stay. We do not offer a choice but we will cater (wherever possible) for any dietary requiements, intolerances or pet hates if you let us know at the time of booking. Vegetarian dishes are always available.

Wherever possible we source all our food locally and from local farms but where this is not possible we will always buy british meat and products to support British farmers. If you prefer to eat out our Information Sheet sent with your confirmation details our local recommendations.

Our Wine List offers a great selection of red, white, rose and champagnes selected specially for us by a Bowland Wine Master to compliment the dishes we serve, all our wines represent great value for money. We also have a selection of bottled beers and tipples.

Breakfast is a feast with a daily table of cereals, yoghurts, fruit, juices, porridge followed by a full Yorkshire breakfast including award winning sausages, and our own free range eggs.

We are ideally situated for your first night stop on your way from Morecambe to Bridlington or your last stop as you head to the finish at Morecambe.

We are situated on Route NCR 69 Mewith Lane near High Bentham. For our exact location see the Official Cycle Route map we are at mile marker 23.

We have an outdoor hot tub to relax those muscles after your day in the saddle. Evening meals are traditional, wholesome and cooked in the AGA (booked in advance). We are fully licensed with a wide selection of wines, beers and tipples so there is no need to move once you are here. A hearty breakfast will see you on your way to your next leg or to the finish.

Drying facilities are available, we also have a vice and tools should you need a quick repair and a hose pipe if you need a wash down.

Halsteads Barn is ideally situated for a stopover as you travel out of Lancashire from Slaidburn into North Yorkshire towards Bentham. We are 2.5 miles from Bentham situated at the northerly edge of Burn Moor which you will have travelled through on your way along Slaidburn Road.

Our all year round Hot Tub is ideal to relax those weary muscles before you head off towards Cumbria. Good wholesome evening meals are available (booked in advance) and we are fully licensed. So once you are here there is no need to leave until you head off on your next leg.

Your bikes are secure and we have tools and a vice should repairs be necessary. Should you be unfortunate with the weather our drying room is available for wet clothing and shoes.

 We would request that anyone making an enquiry or wishing to make a booking inform us of any special needs or disabilities that they may have in order that we can discuss any personal requirements they may have.

Due to its roots as a livestock barn, there are numerous stairs and steps within the property and there are no guest bedrooms on the groundfloor. The accommodation may therefore not be suitable for people with walking difficulties.

The property is accessed from Mewith Lane by a gravelled track (0.3 miles long) and the car park is a gravelled area. While suitable for most vehicles, if you have a very very low sports car and the weather is bad please check with us when booking. 

We would also kindly ask when enquiring or booking that you let us know of any allergies, food intolerances or pet hates that you may have in order that we can accommodate them in the menu. We have animals on the premises and free range poultry in the grounds.
