At Halsteads Barn you can be sure of personal attention, and are encouraged to use the full facilities of the house. Walking through the door, the impressive minstrels gallery with its huge beams affords a spacious seating area where you can take advantage of the varied reading material available. Or, relax in the outdoor hot tub with only the sound of the stream running past and the multitude of birds that are resident on the moor. The half acre garden area includes a pond where you can sit and enjoy the antics of the pet ducks or take in the spectacular and un-interrupted views of the majestic Ingleborough and other peaks, a relaxing way to finish off the day. The large fireplace with wood burning stove creates a welcoming atmosphere in the comfortable lounge where afternoon tea can be taken. In the morning, the dining room provides an unhurried breakfast service from continental to full English allowing you to take in the glorious views. In the evening you can watch the sun go down through the large French windows while enjoying the traditional home-cooked (in the AGA) dishes. All meals, where possible, are made from local produce from the local farms and our own ducks. A varied wine list is also available. The snug provides a quiet area to relax after an evening meal with coffee, or play board games or read. Alternatively the large lounge is the ideal spot for an after dinner drink. Should you make new friends whilst in the area, they are welcome to join you for evening meals and take advantage of the facilities.
